Gaga for AI
I work part-time at my local library and juggle a few consulting projects in addition to producing online education conferences.
Today at the library, I had a long conversation with a patron on a number of topics and it turns out this patron works in tech on something to do with generative AI. I mentioned that I was working on a generative AI presentation for a class I’m teaching at the library. Our conversation was interrupted as the reference desk got busy, and the patron left me a note with info about a chat bot he recommended. I have no idea if this is related to his work or not. At any rate, I called the number he gave me and had a conversation with a bot who sounded like Hugh Jackman which inspired my colleague who could overhear my phone to exclaim, “Crikey!”. I put my phone on speaker and said colleague asked the bot what the most poisonous fish in the world was. We were cracking up as the bot responded. As I was in the middle of the library, this conversation was rather short. I don’t quite get the point of Boardy, but I’m planning on exploring it a bit further and perhaps demo it at my upcoming workshop. If you want to try it out, call this number: 1 (415) 969-9735.
Here’s a link to Boardy’s website with more details.
