Thrive 2026 Begins Today
United for Democracy and Global Action
After months of planning, outreach, and collaboration with colleagues around the world, Thrive 2026: United for Democracy & Global Action begins today.
The conference brings together educators, students, activists, technologists, nonprofit leaders, and community organizers to explore practical ways we can strengthen democratic participation during a time when democratic institutions and civic discourse are under enormous strain.
Across two days, participants will hear from keynote speakers including Howard Gardner, Andrew Gardner, Jennifer Nadel, Alecia Blackwood, and Howard Blumenthal, along with dozens of presenters sharing ideas on media literacy, civic learning, digital democracy, coalition building, and community organizing.
One aspect of the program I’m especially excited about is the inclusion of two student panels, where young people will share their perspectives on the future of democratic engagement.
This conference is designed to be practical, hopeful, and action-oriented. The goal is not simply to talk about the challenges facing democracy, but to connect people who are working on solutions.
Live sessions are free to attend, and participants are welcome to join any sessions that fit their schedules.
